Question 1

What is Live Scan fingerprinting?

Accepted Answer

Live Scan is an electronic method of capturing fingerprints. Instead of traditional ink, we use a digital scanner that captures your fingerprints and sends them directly to the appropriate agencies (FBI, State, etc.). It's faster, cleaner, and more accurate than traditional ink methods.

Question 2

How long does the fingerprinting process take?

Accepted Answer

The actual fingerprinting process typically takes 10-15 minutes. With no appointment necessary, most customers are in and out within 20-30 minutes total, depending on wait times.

Question 3

Do I need an appointment?

Accepted Answer

No! One of our biggest advantages is that NO APPOINTMENT IS NECESSARY. We welcome walk-ins at both of our locations during business hours. Just come in when it's convenient for you.

Question 4

Can you do ink fingerprinting on cards?

Accepted Answer

Yes! In addition to Live Scan, we offer traditional ink fingerprinting on official FD-258 cards for applications that require them, such as certain immigration or international applications.

Question 5

What do I need to bring for fingerprinting?

Accepted Answer

You'll need a valid government-issued photo ID (driver's license, passport, or state ID). If you're getting fingerprinted for a specific purpose (employment, licensing, etc.), bring any request forms or authorization letters provided by the requesting agency.

Question 6

Do I need to bring anything from my employer or licensing agency?

Accepted Answer

If your employer or licensing agency provided you with a specific form, request code, or ORI number, please bring that information with you. We can also help you if you're unsure what's needed.

Question 7

What if I don't have all the required documents?

Accepted Answer

No problem! Our staff can help you determine exactly what you need. Give us a call at either location before coming in, and we'll guide you through the requirements for your specific situation.

Question 8

How long does it take to get my results?

Accepted Answer

For Live Scan submissions, results are typically processed by the FBI or state agencies within 24-72 hours. However, processing times depend on the receiving agency and can vary. Some background checks may take 1-2 weeks depending on the depth of the search and agency workload.

Question 9

Will I receive my results directly?

Accepted Answer

Results are typically sent directly to the requesting agency (employer, licensing board, etc.). If you need a personal copy, inform us during your appointment, and we can provide information about obtaining your results.

Question 10

Can you expedite my results?

Accepted Answer

We submit all Live Scan fingerprints electronically for the fastest possible processing. Once submitted, processing time depends on the receiving agency. We cannot expedite their review, but we ensure your submission is sent immediately.

Question 11

What types of background checks do you offer?

Accepted Answer

We offer FBI background checks, state criminal history checks, employment screening, professional licensing checks, and immigration-related background checks. We can process fingerprints for nearly any purpose that requires official verification.

Question 12

Do you do background checks for employment?

Accepted Answer

Yes! We provide comprehensive employment background screening services, including criminal history checks, which are required by many employers. Your employer will provide specific instructions on what type of check is needed.

Question 13

Can I get fingerprinted for a concealed carry permit?

Accepted Answer

Yes, we provide fingerprinting services for concealed carry permit applications. Bring your application form or permit request information, and we'll take care of the rest.

Question 14

Do you do fingerprinting for teaching or healthcare licenses?

Accepted Answer

Absolutely! We regularly assist professionals in education, healthcare, real estate, and many other licensed fields. We're familiar with the requirements for various professional licensing boards.

Question 15

What forms of payment do you accept?

Accepted Answer

We accept cash, all major credit cards (Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover), and debit cards. Payment is due at the time of service.

Question 16

How much does fingerprinting cost?

Question 17
